The outside case of this instrument is in a Walnut veneer. The lid and flap has been applied in a 'checkerboard' pattern.

This instrument is based on one built by Anton Walter in 1800 - Tomlinson Harpsichords Viennese Fortepianos

These Fortepianos have a range of FF-g3 and can be pitched at between 430 and 440 hz.
